A fire dances in spite of somber darkness
A fetus thrives in the cramped accommodations of the womb
The terminally ill continue to respire
The madman’s heart beats though a tempest is between his ears
Will a foreteller hush even if he knows the future?
Your poem though eerie, holds a kind of hope in it’s verses.

Ah ha! I’m not hopeless after all! hahhaha. :p Thank you so much Human! I appreciate you reading my poem and telling me your reaction to it. I am so glad it was both those things at the same time for you. I like balance. 🙂 I like your very balanced and cool af tree profile picture. 🙂

Hello! Thanks for you comment. Can you tell me what you meant by “unchangeable”? I’m not sure I understood what you were referring to.

It’s a Hobson’s choice, to be sure. You wax philosophical and make me think deeper thoughts than my mundane existence would inspire. Thank you for that! I need a snap out of my dronery. 🙂

So I’ve been thinking about this comment and need to know why you saw this poem as a hobson’s choice. Please elaborate my friend 🙂

The foreteller line. If you know something bad is going to happen, and you don’t say anything, then you may get the blame for something that you could have prevented. Or you may be accused of withholding important information. But if if you know something bad is going to happen and you do tell, then you may be accused of bringing that thing} about simply owing to your prediction. Or at the very least you may be accused of causing sadness and anguish amongst people that you care about because you told them something that they could have instead lived happily with not knowing about.
